The safe body is constructed using a dual-layer "steel sandwich" design: an 11-gauge outer steel shell combined with a heavy 5/16” inner steel liner, creating a total steel barrier of nearly 1/2". This structure is filled with AMSEC’s proprietary DryLight® concrete insulation, a seamless composite that provides high-performance fire resistance and incredible physical reinforcement.

Certified 120-Minute Fire Protection

Beyond its physical security, the BFII7240 offers world-class fire defense. It is ETL-certified for 120 minutes of fire protection at 1200°F, maintaining internal temperatures below 350°F even during intense residential fires. Protection is enhanced by a dual-seal system, including a high-temperature silicone seal and a Palusol® heat-expanding seal that creates a smoke-tight and airtight barrier when exposed to extreme heat.
