The BFII6636 is built with a massive 1/2” thick solid steel door plate—the thickest in its class—enclosing a layer of high-density insulation. The safe body features a dual-layer "steel sandwich" construction: a 12-gauge formed inner liner combined with a heavy 4-gauge plate liner, resulting in a total combined steel thickness of 1/2". This structure is filled with AMSEC’s proprietary DryLight® concrete insulation, a seamless composite that provides high-performance fire resistance and incredible physical reinforcement against drilling, cutting, and prying.

Certified 120-Minute Fire Protection

In addition to its industry-leading security, the BFII6636 offers world-class thermal defense. It is independently certified by Intertek for 120 minutes of fire protection at 1200°F, maintaining internal temperatures below 350°F even during intense residential fires. Protection is further enhanced by a dual-seal system, including a high-temperature silicone seal and an intumescent Palusol® heat-expanding seal that swells to over eight times its original thickness to block heat, smoke, and flames from entering the safe.

New for 2025, the BFII6636 features an updated luxury interior with steel-gray faux-leather material and hand-stitched detailing. The safe includes a mirrored back wall for increased visibility and a factory-installed motion-sensing LED light kit. The safe is equipped with the Premium Door Organizer (PDO), maximizing storage for handguns and accessories, and even includes a storage system for two additional rifles on the door. For modern convenience, it features an integrated AC power port with a removable cord for powering dehumidifiers or charging electronics.
